School is almost over for the year and summer will be here soon. The kids
are excited to be done with all the homework but will soon be bored. Unless....
they are signed up for the many activities that Las Vegas, Henderson and Clark
County have to keep their days full of fun!
In Henderson, there are activies for all ages including a 10 week camp for
preschoolers and kindergartners all the way up to day camps for teenagers.
Specialty camps include outdoor biking adventures, culinary art, dance and
tumbling and outdoor survival . There are field trips to Las Vegas Motor
Speedway, NASCAR roller coaster at the Sahara, Shark Reef at Mandalay and much
more! One week is filled with sports including swimming, soccer and
basketball. Another week, teaches the kids all about theater and helps them
with their acting skills.
If you are interested in signing your kids up for these summer events,

Maybe the kids want to rough it in the wilderness for a week! Clark County
offers Camp Lee Canyon Overnight Camp
If nothing above interest your child, there are more camps to choose from in the Las Vegas area. Here is the list from the Review Journal. I hope you all have a great summer!

Hi Roberta - I honestly don't have a terrific comment for this post, but I wanted to stop by to say hello. I hope you have a great weekend!
Hey Roberta! I think that having a plan with activities for kids is a good thing.... socializing but having way fun!
Jason: I am so glad you stopped by! Even if you don't have a comment, it is nice of you to visit. Thanks!
Sally: It is good to keep the kids busy through the summer.
The camps are open here too but I can not send my kids. I would miss them to much :-(
Charles: I sent my oldest son to a 3 week camp when he was 12 and I cried all the way home and for 2 days. Turns out, he had the best time ever and he still talks about it!
Roberta - Nice work. I had no idea there were so many activities for kids around Vegas.
Tom: I wish I was here when my kids were younger so that they could have enjoyed some of these activities.
Roberta- It is good to know of the various activities available in the area. I am a firm believer of camp for kids :)
We have never sent our kids to camp but they are starting to ask about it. I just checked on a 5 day camp and was bowled over by the price. I got a little sticker shock!
Your friend in Charlottesville!
Kathy: Camps are great to keep the kids busy!
Charles: Most of the camps here are reasonable.

The closest for her age group and not listed as already full from the City of Las Vegas is at Mirabelli Community Center.
