Beyond the Neon........Part 3 Are You Ready for Some Football??

Las Vegas is a huge melting pot of people from all over the country and world.  Everything from having a Chinatown to this weekend's Hawaiian festival and Outrigger Regatta, held by the Las Vegas Hawaiian Civic Club

It even brings together people that support the same sports teams.  For all you football fans who can't wait until Sunday to see the big game, there are many places to see your favorite team.  Of course you can go to the casinos, but there are many bars that cater to a specific team.  Whether you are visiting Las Vegas and can't miss the game, or you live here and miss seeing your home team, here is a list of some of the bars that you can go and cheer on your favorite team.

There are also more that are not on the list. Being from Pittsburgh I am a Steeler fan and I go to Play of the Day for all the games.  It's amazing how many people that I have run into that were from the same area as us and even people we know.  I recently ran into a man wearing a Steeler shirt and started talking to him and invited him to join us for a game.  Turns out that he and his ex-wife were from the same small town as the owner of the bar, and were actually close friends in high school.  They have all been out here for 30 years and never knew that each other were  here.  It was a very pleasant reunion.

The team spirit at the bar and the hometown family atmosphere really make it a lot of fun.  Even people that are visiting comment on the fact that there is more excitement here than at home.  They even do charity raffles and one coming up benefits Heaven Can Wait Animal Shelter.

Go Steelers!  Or whatever team you want to win!

ROBERTA:  What a cool small world story.  My wife just told me one yesterday about her sister that lives in Texas.  She moved down there about 4 ago.  Her kids recently started taking ice skating lessons.  It turns out that the owner of the rink relocated from Long Island as well, and they actually lived on the same block as my sister-in-law.  Crazy story.  By the way, that is one of the coolest football graphics that I've ever seen.

Adam: It is a small world and it is so strange when things like that happen!  The football graphic is really cool.  My husband does marketing and website design and comes up with all kinds of interesting graphics.  I just had to use that one because I love it!  I am upset tonight, though, because my Steelers lost!

Debbie:  I bet you are a happy girl!  Looks like it is going to be a great season for you!  Enjoy!

Jeff and Grace: I'm ready for tonight's game!  It was extremely windy in Vegas over the weekend.  That is how the storms usually are for us, no rain, just wind.

Jeff: I thought you would enjoy the football. That is my favorite graphic!  It came from my husband who does marketing, web design and graphics.   I found the cheerleader doing a google search for a cheerleader image.  I like to have cute graphics or nice pictures if I can find them.  Thanks for checking out my blogs!
