It is sad when people are taken advantage of by someone they know and trust. This is especially sad, when they met them at a place such as church, where people still try to believe in everyone

Todd: Yes it is sad for someone to do that especially in a church!

UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I just don't understand how ANYONE can do this. One of my first clients was a young, Hispanic family. They had both worked two jobs each to save enough money to buy their first home. After 3-4 years, they decided they wanted a larger home. The agent they hired to sell their home and help them find another home actually tricked them into signing a quit claim deed on the home he was supposedly selling. They signed it over to him, and he got another Hispanic family in the home with a rent to own ad. The family who came to me did not know what had happened until they started receiving foreclosure letters a year later. When the rent to own people didn't pay....the agent stopped paying the mortgage. I helped them expose the agent, and he lost his license. The irony...a month after losing his real estate license...he was a loan officer. Can you believe it??? How do people like that sleep?

I have seen similar things occur in my area. Once in a while you'll see a recorded sale from an estate or out of the area owner that has a recorded sale way below obvious market value. Using a Realtor lessens your chances dramatically for this happening especially if that Realtor is with a reputable Brokerage.

Public awareness to the bottom feeders with local pressure is the answer.

Elizabeth:  I don't know how people like that can sleep!!  It was nice that you helped them out.  That agent should have never been allowed to do anything in the real estate world again!

KC: People should research the agent and brokerage to make sure they are reputable. 

Roberta that is despicable.  There are all kinds out there!!  I hope the couple doesn't lose their home and I hope they put the scammer behind bars!!  I just don't get how people live with themselves!!

Sandy: It does take all kinds but how do you sleep with yourself after doing that to innocent people??

Roberta - that's the part I can't figure out either.  Just like the investment partners and how they treated us.  How do you look yourself in the mirror everyday or like you said go to sleep at night.  But I believe what goes around comes around and they will get there's in the end.

Its scarey.  The things people do to one another.  I still believe there are more good than bad people, so there is hope.  I don't know how those people could live with themselves.
